will host a 5K Trail Race over a fast flat 2.5k grass track in the Phoenix
Park on Tuesday 29th June at 8 pm.

We welcome all runners, fast and slow, beginners to elite. The emphasis
is on running for your company, whilst competing against people of your
own ability.

There will be the usual BHAA prizes, with individual prizes for the first
three ladies and first three men. Also, there are prizes for the first
three in each of the age categories, both for ladies and men. All members
are eligible for team prizes.

The race will be followed by showers and refreshments in the Defence
Forces clubhouse which is just off the main road beside the Cricket Club
in the Phoenix Park. Some parking will be available beside the clubhouse
and along the main road. The results will be ready on the day and prizes
will be awarded to all of the categories mentioned above.

The results, photos will be available on www.bhaa.ie.

Full details of the race can be found on the website where you can also
ask any questions on the forum. All BHAA Facebook and Twitter members
will receive details in advance of the race, and the usual text message
will go to your phone. If you have not already joined up with any of
these, please do so. It’s a great way to keep in touch.

About BHAA

The Business Houses Athletic Association is a work place athletic

not-so-elite, club-members, non-club members and new members of any gender
or background. Membership is ?15 per year and each race is ?10 per
member. Non members can run for ?15 per race. There are a variety of
road, all terrain and cross-country races all year round. There are also
track races and even a couple of beach races. Most races are between 5K
and 10K.

About Irish Prison Service

The Irish Prison Service were asked in early May if they would be willing
to host the race which was originally to be the Defence Forces all terrain
race. We were more than willing to take part in the great organisation
which is the BHAA. Due to the short time we could only have an off road
course in the Phoenix Park so we hope that those who take part will have
an enjoyable race and we hope to be able to organise a road race for next
summer.
