This event is a 1/2 Marathon, 10k Run/Walk covering an undulating course in the coastal town of Balbriggan and surrounding north Fingal country side. The Balbriggan Cancer Support Group 1/2 Marathon /10k was a fantastic success in 2013 and event is going from strength to strength since it started in 2011.Over 600 athletes took part in 2013 with numbers quadrupling in one year.2014 promises to be be even bigger and better .This year’s run is licenced by AAI and the course is measured and verified by them. Balbriggan Cancer Support Group provide support and additional services to people effected by cancer, their families and friends. BCSG provide a drop in centre on Mon, Wed and Sat from 1030-1300 and the same is run by trained volunteers. Feel free to drop in for a chat, to seek information or even avail of a sympathetic ear.
