The inaugural Atlantic Way Run in aid of Cancer Care West will take place on Sunday July 12th starting from Galway Bay Golf Resort. This new and unique route takes in some of the spectacular Galway Bay Golf Course with the stunning backdrop of Galway Bay and the rugged curves of the Atlantic Coastline. Both a 5km and 10km route are available for the novice and seasoned runners and walkers. The few hills along the route help provide stunning sea views, and whether you are a runner looking for a challenge, a walker wanting an incredible scenic walk or family in search of an adventure-this is the event for you.
Registration will take place in the Galway Bay Golf Resort from 8.30am onwards and the run will commence at 10am sharp. All runners will be chip timed with results online after the race. There will be a Pancake party afterwards for all runners to celebrate crossing the finish line-be sure to join in in the fun!
All proceeds raised through the event will go to Cancer Care West, who is dedicated to providing support to anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis over the West of Ireland including counties, Clare, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Tipperary, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo. All of Cancer Care West’s services are provided at no cost to patients and their families and the charity relies heavily on fundraising and donations to meet the cost of these services.
