Athletics NI & UKA Awards

UK Athletics have announced that the 2008 Athletics Awards evening, sponsored by Heidsieck & Co Monopole Champagne, will take place at the on Saturday 29 November 2008.

It’s time again to nominate for the UK Athletics Regional Awards. Nominate your club, your coaches and officials who have made a difference over the past year. The presentation ceremony will take place at Athletics House on 20th November (further details TBC), and nominations close on 31st October.

Last year some clubs were disappointed that they did not win anything. Awards are based on nominations coming in to the office, so if you haven’t nominated, deserving clubs & coaches will miss out.

The form is available to download from a dedicated section in the fixtures section so send in now!

If a category has no/very few nominations, a panel from Athletics Northern Ireland may also put forward nominees who have made a positive impact through their club/athletes etc. Category winners are submitted to UK Athletics and could make the shortlist for the UK-wide awards.
