The Johnny Doyle / Shane Mc Cormack/ David Mathews Challenge:

The Johnny Doyle / Shane Mc Cormack/ David Mathews Challenge:
Kildare All star footballer Johnny Doyle, Kildare Goalkeeper Shane Mc Cormackand Kildares Olympic athlete David Mathews are challenging all runners to beat their posted times. Both Johnny and David will be posting times on the 15km route at the 5km, 10km and 15km points for you to challenge yourself against. Anyone who beats their posted time will be entered into a draw for a prize.

Shane who is currently studying for his Masters in Queens University Jordanstown is using his vast knowledge and experience to set a time for the 7.5km run. Shane says “Its important for everyone to get out and enjoy the run, the time I have set is achievable and gives the majority of runners a chance at winning a prize. It will be a great day, the course is flat and there will be plenty of tea for everyone”

The race route is very flat and takes in the very scenic views of the bog lands of Allenwood and Drehid. The surface is Tarmac which with the flatness of the course (23ft height gain over 15km) will see some serious fast times from the elite section.

All entries will be asked to sign an indemnity form prior to race start.
