
Training for a 5k? Albertville Harriers is a running and athletics club based at Ballysillan Leisure centre in North Belfast. We are one of Belfast’s longest established running clubs, founded in 1919 and we are affiliated to the Northern Ireland Athletic Federation. With fully accredited athletic coaches
We are a friendly group and invite you to come along to our Tuesday or Thursday training events to find out a bit more about us. It doesn’t matter if you are a complete beginner or a registered professional. We hope to meet you soon.
Albertville Harriers welcomes members irrespective of age, race, gender or religious belief. All ages, and abilities are welcome
This Summer:
We want to welcome and encourage any one who would love to train and complete a 5K Run.
July & August 2010 we r running an `Introduction to Running Course` with the goal of completing NIMAA 5K Road Race. The Club guarantees that anyone taking part no matter their fitness levels will achieve their goal.
The Club also hold junior classes every Wed Night @ 5pm Ballysillan LC parents please feel free to join in.

Activities also offered by our Club:
Cross Country – These are races that take place on non-athletics track, tarmacsurfaces, for example forest trails, pitches, general country terrain.
Road Running – Self explanatory, the most common distance is 10k although races in the calendar vary from 1 mile to the marathon.
Mountain Running – Also self explanatory, this takes cross country to the next level, running over challenging terrain including steep inclines, drops and rocky ground.
