This year’s Adamstown 10K Road Race builds on the success of last year’s inaugural race. The course is extended this year to include an early stage through the charming country lane known as Tandy’s Lane, from where the course continues over the remaining the flat, fast and enticing road network within the Adamstown development itself. The Race is intended both as a competitive race for committed club athletes and also as a fun-run for the casual runner and novices. The 2009 Race winner was Vinny Mulvey of Raheny Shamrocks Athletics Club. The Adamstown 10k is an initiative of Adamstown Community Partnership, whose primary remit is to foster the growth of the emerging new community at Adamstown. We are delighted to announce our Charity Partners for this years race namely Pieta House, a local Lucan based charity encompassing the centre for prevention of self harm or suicide, and NCBI, a long established charity which provides support and services nationwide to people experiencing sight loss. Proceeds arising from this year’s entry fees will be shared between both charities, in addition to the Adamstown Primary Schools. For Course Information and Online Registration see www.adamstown10k.ie
