Successful Launch of Cara Bundoran Run

Thursday evening last saw the successful launch of the inaugural Cara Bundoran Run – 10 Mile Challenge in Bundoran’s Town Library. The first Saturday in March will see the Cara Bundoran Run – 10 Mile Challenge take to the streets around the picturesque coastal town of Bundoran in Donegal.

The Cara Bundoran Run 10 – Mile Challenge, kindly sponsored by Cara Pharmacy, is Ireland’s newest road race and will provide runners, joggers and walkers of all standards with a memorable experience on a breathtaking route. The course skirts Donegal’s Atlantic coastline around the holiday resort of Bundoran and ends with a sweeping downhill finish towards the Atlantic Ocean

The launch was attended by members of Tir Chonaill AC, Bundoran Town Council, Athletics Ireland, Donegal Tourism, Cara Pharmacy and by members of the media.

Frank Greally of Athletics Ireland was MC on the night and representatives from Cara Pharmacy, Bundoran Town Council and Donegal Tourism spoke on the great opportunities the race will bring to the North West and further afield over the first weekend of March.

Proceeds from the inaugural Cara Bundoran Run –10 Mile Challenge will be shared between Tir Chonaill Athletic Club and the Athletics Ireland Grassroots Athletics Fund – a support fund to further help the development of young athletes nationwide.
