from A.A.I Claire Brady of Celbridge AC put in another solid performance in the semi-final of the women’s 60m, finishing sixth in 7.40 seconds at the World Indoor Championships in Doha. While this was not good enough to see her through to the final, the Kildare athlete can be proud of her performance, coming within five hundreds of her personal best at her first major senior championships.

Brady had also an excellent run in her 60m heat on Friday to make it into the semi-final. She finished fifth in her heat in 7.43 seconds to qualify as the best of the fastest losers. On making it into the semi-final Brady commented "I’m delighted. The aim was to get to the semi-finals and gain the experience. I would have liked to run sub 7.40 but then again it was my first time in a major championship, so nerves were obviously a part of it.”
