from Northern Ireland Athletics As part of the on-going efforts to offer improved competition opportunities , local pole vault coach Jim Alexander in conjunction with AAI and ANI staged the first ever “Vault Jordanstown” invitational pole vault competition at the new Jordanstown High Performance Athletics centre on Saturday 30th Jan.
Modelled on the highly successful "Vault Manchester" competition developed by UK Athletics the competition saw 10 vaulters take part under the watchful eyes of coaches Noelle Greene, Bart Rogers and Jim Alexander.
The mens competition was won by David Donegan of (Clonliffe Harriers) with 4.65m whilst the womans competition was won by Sarah Semeraro (University of Ulster) with 3.85m."
