After speaking with An Garda Siochana and Office of Public Works in Phoenix Park, and taking into consideration the long-range weather forecast, we have decided to postpone the Sunday 17th January race and reschedule it for Sunday 7th February.
While we are aware that the weather may clear up before next weekend, we have nevertheless made this decision now to secure the date of Sunday 7th February. Hopefully this will also allow you the time, when the weather improves, to get back out on your bike and go for a run before the race!
Obviously if the revised date does not suit you, we will give you a full refund. If you would like the refund, please email us (info@aliveoutside.ie) before Wednesday 13th January 2010 and we will refund your card. There is a large waiting list for this race so if we do not hear back from you by Wed 13th, we will assume you want to race on the revised date. Therefore there is a strict deadline of 5pm on Wed 13th Jan 2010 to be refunded your registration fee.
Triathlon Ireland have informed us that any One Day Licences bought for the 17th January will be automatically transferred to the new date so there is no need for you to do anything else. If though you cant participate on the 17th Jan, then Triathlon Ireland will refund you your One Day Licence fee. Contact them directly on 01 2764935.
Races 2 (Sunday 28th Feb 2010) and 3 (Sun 28th Mar 2010) in the Series are not affected by this postponement.
