Want a FUN, ENCOURAGING EVENT to test your TRIATHLON training?
Are you new to the sport and looking for a beginners’ competition to trial out your cycling and running ability?
If your answer to any of these is “YES”, then the Winter Duathlon Series is perfect for you! Aimed at both off-season triathletes AND ‘newbies’ to the sport, the three separate events in the Phoenix Park offer you a challenging course, where you:
• Run for 2.6km on closed road;
• Cycle 3 laps on closed roads (total 13km); and
• Run the final 2.6km on the same closed road to finish line (course slightly shorter for newbies)
DETAILS OF EACH EVENT
•Three Separate Races each day from 10:00 to 12:30
1. Experienced Men’s & Women’s Race
2. Newbie Women’s Race
3. Newbie Men’s Race
Pre-race Demonstration, specifically for Newbies, including:
• Transitions, set-up, entry and exit points
• Basic Rules (drafting, helmets etc)

IMPORTANT
If you are not a Full, Student or Junior TRIATHLON IRELAND member, you are required to purchase a One Day Licence (€10 for Duathlon & Aquathlon, €15 for Triathlon). To purchase a One Day Licence –
1. Go to www.triathlonireland.com
2. Go to the ‘Competition’ area
3. Select ‘One Day Licenses’
The deadline to purchase a One Day Licence, for the Winter Duathlon Series Event is midnight on the Thursday before the event.
Note: It will NOT be possible to purchase One Day Licenses after this time, or on the race day!
