Runireland.com has launched the 5.5 Aquathlon Series, in aid of MS Ireland and Kinvara National School, taking place in August in the picturesque villages of Kinvara and Oughterard. Based on the same initiative than the 25.5 Triathlon series, the Aquathlon series aims to bring more people to aquathlons and is an excellent introduction to multisport events and triathon.
The 5.5 Aquathlon series is designed with beginners in mind and to complement that there are free training sessions available to all those wishing to take part in the Aquathlon series. The perfect way to banish fears of open water and get your toes wet before the events start. All training sessions are led by Sebastien Locteau Level 3 qualified triathlon coach, and will take place Mondays at 7:30pm at the venues used for the series in Kinvara and Oughterard. Full training details available on runireland.com, check out the forum for more details.
