from Eamon Walsh This years Headford 8k Road Race, held last Saturday 11th of July, attracted the largest ever turnout with 196 entrants taking to the streets in support of Rosedale School for children with an intellectual disability, despite the weather. The race was won by Gerry Ryan from Galway City Harriers in a time of 24:58. The first lady home was Regina Casey also from GCH in a time of 30:52. The event, now in it’s 5th year attracted large crowds to Headford who enjoyed what was described by many as “a well organised event for a great cause”.
