Last Training Before the COPE OCEAN RACE

from coach seb Another nice evening before the event this weekend. I am confident that our little group will succeed comfortably in achieving our sprint triathlon at the weekend.

Over the last few weeks, we covered most of the fundamental skills of triathlons, we had a nice size group on the bike on the road and today we went for a 200 to 400m swim then 5km bike and a 2km run.

I was not going to make them doing the full race 2 days before the event……well I would but they might not appreciate this and would have re-enforced my devil coach nickname 🙂

The main issue still has been being able to remove the wetsuit without help, and did make me laugh. Try to imagine people turning in circles on themselves to try to catch the little lead on the back of the wetsuit and then getting the arms and legs in a strait jacket.

Who said I can’t have fun as a coach !

Thanks for taking part, and hopefully from the 21 people who turned up to those session we will keep having this group keeping up the good work in our new training group.
