What: 10km Road Race (Run only)
When: May 3rd 2009
CHANGE** Start time: 11.30am
Starting from: Cornamona Community Centre, Cornamona, Co Galway
CHANGE**Registration: From 9.30am – 10.45am at Clonbur GAA pitch. Participants will then be transported over to the Start in Cornamona by bus
Entries: Enter on the day €12 per person
The Route: From Cornamona Community Centre across “the old road” between Cornamona and Clonbur, finishing at the GAA Pitch in Clonbur.
What makes it special: The scenery is breathtaking all along the route (Lough Mask, Lough Corrib, Mount Gable, 1370 feet high). Mind you, there is also a serious hill in the first 4km which is will also take your breath away! Much of the remainder of the route is down hill. See Elevation and Map Attached
Facilities include:
Refreshments after the run
Water stops en route
Certificate of participation
Cash prizes for winners (U 40’s; Over 40’s)
Dressing rooms and showers at end of race in Clonbur GAA pitch
CHANGE ***No Parking available in Cornamona. Parking at Clonbur GAA pitch. Participants will be transported to the start of the race in Cornamona Community Centre
