from Triathlon Ireland website The Triathlon Ireland Annual Awards Dinner and AGM were recently held at the Portloaise Heritage Hotel in Portloaise. The Awards Dinner in the evening was a celebration of the achievements of our age groupers throughout the 2008 race season and a special presentation of awards was made to all the winners.
The AGM included voting for the Council positions in 2009 along with presentations showing the future direction for the sport of triathlon.

Special guest, Emma Davis, attended the night and presented the awards to all our age group winners. A special presentation was also made to Emma for her achievements in 2008.
Triathlon Ireland would like to congratulate all the winners and thank our special guest, Emma Davis and wish everyone the all the best in the racing season ahead.
The AGM held during the day included voting for Council positions for 2009 and a presentation of the future of Triathlon Ireland.
The Council positions voted in for 2009 were:
Jag Gunawardana, President
Conal Heatley, Secretary
Hugh McAtamney also made a presentation at the AGM on TriAthlone with specific reference to the European Championship events in 2010.
