results Added A wet dark morning did not dampen the enthuasiasm of nearly 150 people who participated in the West of Ireland 10km Fun Run on the grounds of Breaffy House Hotel and Sports Resort. Thank you to the Lynch Hotels for hosting the event and of course all the marshalls who stood out in the rain without whom the race could not have been held .
Although the rain showed no let up during the race it did not hinder the participants and most importantly for a fun run there was a great warm and friendly atmosphere and an air of enjoyment and achievement pervaded.
As advertised there is a Weekend Away to give which was calculated after the results were finished as in the rush of the day it was forgotton to select a random number . The winner of this prize was calculated by finding the average finish time of all the participants and awarded the prize to the individual who ran a time closest to this. The winner of the Weekend Away is number 95 Paul Higgins, well done and you will be contacted with more details of the prize.
Well done to all those who participated and tackled the course with such relish.
