New Ross Athletic Club "United Striders AC" will host their inaugural 5 mile road race on the 23rd of August 2014 at 7pm. The course is officially measured and certified by the Athletics Association of Ireland. Chip timing will be available for all runners. Registration for the 5 Mile Stride is 15 euro with a Tech T-Shirt for all competitors. All entrants for the 5 Mile Stride must be 18 years of age or older on the day of the race in accordance with AAI guidelines. There is also a 3 Mile Fun Walk which will start at 7.15pm. Registration is 10 euro with a Tech T-Shirt for all competitors. Refreshments will be provided after the event in Terrerath Hall, where the prize giving will also take place. There will be plety of spot prizes plus cash prizes in the 5 Mile Stride for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd Men & Women, 1st Over 40 Men & Women and 1st Over 50 Men & Women. We also have a prize (Seamus Burke Perpetual Cup) for the Club with the most number of registrations in the 5 Mile Stride. Please ensure you include your Club name when registering as ommissions can not be included later. Registrations for the 3 Mile Fun Walk are NOT counted for this prize.
