Donadea Running Club 5KM
Back by popular demand this run is now in its third year and is a trail run not to be missed on the running calender in 2014. Located in the picturesque confines of Donadea Forest Park, this event is being run in conjunction with the North Kildare 5KM League and welcomes all abilities to the forest. Set against the backdrop of the historical Donadea Castle, the course is measured by and AAI fully certified course measuer, is chip timed, fully AAI permitted and complimentary refreshments will be served after the race. Water and banana’s will be available to all runners. We look forward to welcoming you on the day!!
Directions to the event
From N7
Take the turn off for Naas North (Junction 9). Follow the signs for Clane (You pass through Naas, Sallins and finally into Clane)
From N4
Take Maynooth exit, and follow sign posts for Clane/Naas (You need to travel the opposite direction to Maynooth village) After approximately 1.5 miles take a right turn Note: if you pass a large group of electricity pylons on your right you have gone too far.
Shortly after taking this right turn (1/2 mile) you will pass a round tower on your left. Keep straight for circa 6 miles until you come to a T-Junction.
Take the right turn at the T-Junction and drive 1/2 mile you will see main entrance to Donadea Forest Park on your left.
If you are going to the clubhouse, pass forest entrance and continue until you come to a crossroads with a pub on the right hand side.
Turn left and follow the road until you come to a crossroads with a stop sign. Turn right here and St Kevins is 1/2 mile up on the right hand side.
