Coaching Workshop – Morton Stadium, Santry
National event coach Brian Corcoran will lead a Hurdles workshop in Morton Stadium, Santry on the 24/11/08 @ 7pm. These workshops are designed to give all Coaches and senior athletes an opportunity to benefit from the knowledge of some of the Irelands senior coaches.

08/12/08 Hammer / Javelin Workshop with Dan Kennedy (Tutor / Coach) at Santry Stadium 7pm
Workshops are open to all Coaches and Athletes over 16yrs.
Each workshop will have a charge of €5 payable on the night,

Jason Smyth was awarded the 2008 Texaco Sportstar of the Year at a gala dinner held in the Four Seasons Hotel in Dublin yesterday evening.
Jason was chosen as the winner from a shortlist of other sporting legends included Ronan O’Gara, Pádraig Harrington and Kenny Egan.
This is a fitting honour for Jason Smyth (City of Derry AC) who achieved an amazing sprint double in the 100m and 200m at the Paralympic Games in Beijing.
Code of Ethics and Good Practice in Children’s Sport
Kildare Sports Partnership in association with the Irish Sports Council are holding a Code of Ethics and Good Practice in Children’s Sport on Monday,s 1st & 8th of December from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm in Naas Parish Centre, Sallins Road, Naas. It is a 4 hour course so participants must attend both nights to receive certification. The cost is 20 euro which covers both nights and interested parties must register with KSP by phone or email. There are a limited number of spaces left which will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.
