The 5th Annual Waterford AC Half Marathon was launched on Wednesday 4th September. Headline Sponsor this year is the Tower Hotel and Leisure Centre, Waterford . This year due to the popularity of the Half Marathon previously the race has a new headquarters at the new state of the art facilities in the WIT Sports Campus at Carriganore, Waterford . The Race will take place on Sunday 1st December at 11am.
Entry limit will be 2000 and the race is pre entry only this year. Entries are available on line www.activeglobal.com or postal via the WAC website. Entries close 12th November or when entry limit is reached. (This race sold out last year 2 weeks before the closing date). There will be Pacers for 1.30, 1.40, 1.45, 1.50, 2.00, 2.10. Goody bag to all finishers. €500 for 1st man and lady home. This year’s Waterford AC Half Marathon ‘Run for Home’ will be in association with the South East Simon Community. A portion of every entry fee will go directly towards the SE Simon Community, WAC’s designated charity for this event. Numbers and chips will be posted out the week before the race.
