The fourth annual Moone Kilomarathon & 10K will take place on Saturday 28th September 2013. All monies raised will go to Barretstown, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital and Rehab.

With a distance of 26.2k (16.3 miles), the Kilomarathon is ideal preparation for those who plan to run the Dublin City Marathon in October. It is also a good stepping-stone up from a half marathon for those considering a full marathon in the future. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome. The Kilomarathon will start at 11.00am (walkers at 10.00am) and the 10K at 11.30am, both will be chip-timed. Both courses are gently undulating and pass by some of the area’s historic sites. There will be cash prizes for the first 3 men and first 3 women in both events as well as age-category prizes O40 / O45 / O50 / O55 / O60 / O65 / O70. All entrants will receive a goody bag and all finishers will receive a high quality medal. There will be water stations with 250ml bottles every 4k in the Kilomarathon and plenty of refreshments afterwards. Moone is just off the M9 motorway, an hour from Dublin City Centre. Early bird entry fees are available, the Kilomarathon is €25 and the 10k is €15 until Sunday September 1st. From Monday September 2nd onwards the Kilomarathon will be €30 and the 10K will be €20.
