Brief Course Description

Swim

The 750m sea swim will take place in Dunmore East Bay and will have a beach start. The bay is sheltered with little or no waves and there is usually no swell during mid summer. The bay is surrounded by cliffs which offer great views for spectators.

Cycle

The transition area will be in a car park easily accessible via a path connected to the smaller of the two beaches where the swim exit will be. The 20Km cycle will be an ‘out and back’ route on the main Dunmore to Waterford road. This is an undulating road with a good surface.

Run

The 6km circuit run starts with a testing ‘climb’ followed by a run through some country roads before returning to the main Dunmore road for the home straight. The finish will be in the village of Dunmore East.
