Brittas Bay 6km Run Results Thank you to all those who ran/walked in the inaugural Brittas Bay 6km July run in aid of the Wicklow Hospice
We were delighted with the turnout of over 120 entries for both runners and walkers. All proceeds went to the Wicklow Hospice, so many thanks to all those to entered and donated. The race started at 11am and was a tough, but great morning run. We started out on a hill and finished on a hill, so it wasn’t for the faint hearted. Niall Shiels was the first in at 19 minutes and 45 seconds with James Cloney in second at 19 minutes and 56 seconds, both from St. Killians. Hannah Nolan from Parnells AC was the first lady in at 25:24 with Sile O’Byrne and Joy Johnson both in second at 25:35. All age group winners received trophies. We hope to host this event next year and look forward to your attendance again. Many many thanks also to Fionnuala Britton and Joe Schmidt for giving of their time on the day and for starting us off.
