The Killaloe Pink Ribbon Walk is taking place on Saturday 16 June, and is a 10km sponsored walk to raise funds for Action Breast Cancer, a part of the Irish Cancer Society which raises awareness and provides much needed services and information for cancer patients and their families.

Killaloe has hosted 2 Pink Ribbon walks in the Shannon-side towns of Killaloe/ Ballina, over 1000 people have walked for Action Breast Cancer and so far they have raised almost €140,000.

The route starts at The Lakeside Hotel in Ballina, crosses the historic Killaloe bridge, following the country lanes around the village of Killaloe, and returning back over the bridge to the hotel where refreshments and entertainment is provided. The registration fee is €20 and we ask everyone to try and raise €100 in sponsorship, of which every penny goes to Action Breast Cancer.
