Royal County 5km returns to Kells for its second year. Route is relatively flat and is suitable for wheelchair users. Age restriction – all participants must be over 12years of age, those under 16years must be accompanied at all times by a parent/guardian. New to the event this year will be chip timing. Particpants can register online at www.meathsports.ie or by downloading the form and submitting it manually into the office. Cost is €15; €20 on the day. Alternatively contact Meath Sports @ 046 9067337. each participant will receive a technical t shirt and refreshments. Buggies, strollers or dogs not allowed. The nominated charity for the Royal County 5km is the Meath Special Hands activity group. The Meath Special Hands activity group is a voluntary based charity which provides opportunities for children with disabilities to participate in sport and physical activity. This Kells based organisation provides a support network across the region for parents of children with special needs.
