Welcome to County Clares first “all-road” half marathon.
Taking place on Saturday May 20th 2017 at 11am, we will get to see the Burren in all its glory.
Situated in the heart of the Burren National Park, the specially designed route will take the runners and walkers around the base of iconic Mullaghmore, taking in stunning views of the mountain and surrounding areas. We get the chance to see flora that only survives in this terrain, one of the remaining areas in the country that is still untouched and unspoilt.
The route is an all road event, quiet country roads surrounded by beauty. The hedges will be bristling with summer orchids, ferns and an array of magnificent colour, taking your mind off the route ahead.
We will also pass Fr Teds house, a now iconic and much visited visitor location. Be sure to wave at the tourists as you pass!
The run will finish at Kilnaboy National School where you will receive a theme designed commemorative medal. Refreshments will also be served for the participants.
The event is permitted by Athletics Ireland and has been measured with Jones counter.
There will be specially designed tech tops for the first 100 online entries and we will also be offering a reduced fee for entrants that are competing in the Run Clare series. Please see www.eamonmoloney10k.ie for full details
