 The race takes place around the village of Abbey on Sunday 13th of March. The course measurement complies with IAAF rules. Public liability insurance is in place. There are prizes for all categories and a souvenir t-shirt for all entrants. The event is open to all levels of runners and walkers. Registration will be also available in the Community Centre on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. There is plenty of parking and there will be toilets and a bag drop area at the start/finish. This year the race will be offically chipped timed. The race will start at 1pm, close to the Community Centre. The course is a 10km loop with a couple of testing hills thrown in for good measure. Each km will be clearly marked, with plenty of stewards to guide you around. The finish will be in the Village, just down from the Community Centre. There will be water at the finish and at least one water point on the way around. The village of Abbey is located between Loughrea and Portumna, heading towards Woodford.
