The 2nd Athenry F4L 5K Charity road race will be run on the 5th of November @12am in Newcastle, just outside Athenry. Proceeds this year will be going to Western Alzheimer’s. The 5k f4L road race will be opened to all but it is mainly aimed for the f4l members in Galway City and County. Registration will be on line on run Ireland and at the Newcastle Athenry Community Centre from 10.30 am. The entry fee is €12, there are toilets, changing facilities available. Prizes given, Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided in the Community Centre after the race. There will be prize for the first senior fit4Life Male and Female and each participant will receive a commemorate Medal.
The race in Newcastle starts at 12am sharp, so please arrive out to Newcastle in plenty of time to collect your race number or to register and to find which pacer you wish to follow. The start is a ten min jog from the registration hall.
Pacers will have balloons indicting what time they are pacing they will be at the start 15min before the race.
Parking is very limited in Newcastle, Car pool with friends if possible and follow stewards instructions.
