Gaelforce Events have invested 10’s of thousands into their top class course using one of the UK’s top ropes course and Sky Frames builders. They have gone above and beyond the tradition obstacle course of cargo nets and tyres and are bringing you a unique course set in the Connemara bogs, hills and the Atlantic Ocean. The event challenges you both mentally and physically but is great fun and will bring you back to your childhood as you get stuck into all the elements.

Gaelforce Events have invested 10’s of thousands into their top class course using one of the UK’s top ropes course and Sky Frames builders. They have gone above and beyond the tradition obstacle course of cargo nets and tyres and are bringing you a unique course set in the Connemara bogs, hills and the Atlantic Ocean.
The event challenges you both mentally and physically but is great fun and will bring you back to your childhood as you get stuck into all the elements. Last year saw over 350 competitors take part and this year the organisers are hoping to bring over a thousand people into the area for the weekend in November. “ Last years event was a great success. All the competitors loved getting back to nature, and their childhood as they challenged themselves with our obstacles.
We even had one guy complete the race dressed as a women, carrying his handbag for the whole course!”, says Jamie Young, one of the directors of Gaelforce Events. The event will be held on the grounds of Killary Adventure Centre in Leenane, Co. Galway., and is finished with a fancy dress party at the centre that evening.
As with all Gaelforce challenges, Turf Guy is open to the hard-core elite and the gym dodgers alike! As the course is set over 10km, it is very achievable! They are also offering discounts to groups of 10 that are interested in competing.
