The first race in the 2011 Ballyhoura ACTIVE Road Race Series gets under way in Doneraile Park on Friday June 3rd at 8pm. This event will be hosted and organised by Mallow AC and they are dedicating the race to a member, Dan Byrne, who passed away just last year. All proceeds from the event will go to Motor Neurone Disease Charity. The event is open to people of all abilities and speeds. You can run, walk or jog the event. The venue, Doneraile Park is free from traffic and is a very beautiful setting for such an event with the route running through the Gardens and woods of the old Georgian estate.
Entry fee is only 5 euro and can be paid on the night across the road in Nagle Rice Secondary School FROM 6.30pm to 7:45pm. Please come early if possible to avoid the queues.
