The second annual Cooley Coast Run has been confirmed for Friday 18th May. This is a 12.5k Road Race & a 10k run/walk along Cooley’s famous coast line, taking in the wonderful scenery of Carlingford Lough and the Mourne and Cooley mountains. Both the 12.5k and the 10k will start and finish at the grounds of Cooley Kickhams GFC. Both races will start at 7pm sharp. The event was a great success last year with over 400 people taking part, and hopefully we will have even more this year.
Once again the Cooley Coast Run is generously sponsored by Open Hydro Ltd. Open Hydro are playing a pioneering role on the world stage in the development of marine turbines for generating renewable energy. They are based in Greenore port, where they manufacture tidal turbine designs providing local jobs. Cooley Coast Run would like to thank Open Hydro for their continued support.
You can register on this website or you can call in to Cooley Complex where you can fill in an application form. Online registration will close at 8pm on Thursday 17th of May. Registration on the day of the race will cost €25, so get registered early!
This years Race Pack will include a t-shirt. We cannot guarantee you will receive the requested t-shirt size if you register after April 30th, so please register early!! Unfortunately t-shirts will not be provided to U16’s. Details on where and when you can collect your Race Pack will be provided in due course.
Ample parking will be provided at Cooley Kickhams grounds, and shower facilities will be available afterwards.
