Leevale AC handle over 800 people Second day of “Join SPAR & Ray for 5k” in Cork City. Leevale Ac was leading the event and the crew worked wonders with an amazing turn out for this 5k. The registration queue seems to be for ever and whiel waiting for Ray Darcy, I was asked to take the today fm Microphone and had my own little show to build up the atmosphere.
Then “ladies and gentleman Mr Ray Darcy “……
Ray then took the lead has it should be, from my short moment of glory. Ray has been extremly kind to the particiapant for the last two days, taken times to talk to everybody who required a few second with him. He really interact with everybody and always smiling what ever was the situation.
The event was similar than in waterford, with just a better weather. People were just relax, happy to be there and without any pressure.
Before the event, I heard "Hi Seb" which was Robert Heffernan our Olympic walker who walk 3 Olympic Games for Ireland. he was very relax. We had a chat about his training and preparation (just bad coaching habit I suppose). I can’t wait to see how he gets on in Portugal in two weeks.
So another day done, and today we are in Galway so come to visit us !
