The SCCUL Sanctuary was established by SCCUL Enterprises CLG as part of their mission to help alleviate poverty and distress in the community in Galway. At the SCCUL Sanctuary we provide access to tailored therapeutic retreat days for community groups and members of the public who are facing a crisis in their lives or in need of healing. SCCUL Sanctuary has already developed therapeutic days for the following support groups: Parkinsons, MS, Cancer, mental health, Carers, Galway Head Injury Support group and Elderly groups such as Croi Na Gaillimhe and Clann. Our purpose in the SCCUL Sanctuary is to provide a safe space where those facing very difficult life challenges can enjoy a therapeutic retreat day in an idyllic setting where they can improve their well-being, gain new perspectives and connect with others facing similar challenges. The annual SCCUL Sanctuary 5km Fun Run/Walk will take place on Sunday 25th September at 1.30pm. All funds raised will go directly towards providing much need services for these client groups and many more. So whether you are a casual walker or a seasoned runner make sure to join us on the 25th September in Kilcornan Woods for a 1.30pm start.
