The 5K Bay Run is now launched for the 26th of July -Enter today! 5K BAY RUN LAUNCHED!
After the success of the Spring 5K Bay Relay both COPE Galway and Enable Ireland have decided to launch the 5K BAY Run, a solo 5K which will be ran in conjunction with the Summer 5K Bay Relay on Thursday 26th July at 7pm.
The 5K BAY RELAY is a fun challenge for runners, joggers and walkers who complete a 15km (3 x 5K) relay race along the picturesque Prom from the Claddagh Hall. The Spring 5K Bay Relay was a huge success and the Summer 5K Bay is shaping up to be also!
Team entry for the 5K is €45 while team entry for the new 5K Bay Run is just €15.00. Funds raised from the 5K and 1K BAY RELAY will support the work of both COPE Galway and Enable Ireland.
The 5k BAY RELAY provides an opportunity for people from across Galway to participate in a novel team running event. It doesn’t matter whether you are a keen runner chasing that elusive PB, taking on the 5K Series in the coming weeks or just want to challenge your colleagues and your boss to a race or just want to have some fun with friends and family; this is a novel and fun event for everyone. Entry categories are as follows: Athletes/Triathletes, Company Teams (teams made up of 3 employees from the same company) and the General Public. A selection of prizes will be up for grabs across all categories on the night.
Admission is open to everyone, you don’t have to be a fitness enthusiast to join in the fun and make a difference. All participants will be provided with a timing chip and race number giving them an opportunity to chase a 5K personal best or set out on your first ever timed running race.
