Lap of Ireland On Sunday 27th May 21 year old Alan Corcoran will start his challenge of running a lap of Ireland, one marathon a day for 35 days in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation, the National Rehabilitation Hospital and the Football Village of Hope. Alan will begin his run in his hometown of Waterford 27th May and run 26.2 miles everyday for 35 days, up the east coast to the Giants Causeway, across the north and back down along the west coast of Ireland, finishing on his final day with the Waterford Viking Marathon 30th June.

He is doing this challenge to raise awarness around Stroke, as his father Milo Corcoran, suffered from a Stroke in March 2011. He began distance training last October and is hoping to get people to run a few miles along the route and donate what they can through the website.
