Brian Downing Memorial Meet Fundraising Pat Downing and family would like to convey a very big thank you to everyone who was involved in the organising of the Brian Downing Memorial meet at Antrim Forum in July.
A very sincere thank you to John Glover and the Lagan Valley Athletic Club and also John Allen and staff in the Athletics NI Office. To all the officials and the athletes and everyone who gave up their time to make the event such a success a very big thank you.
The large amount of £1300 that was raised by the efforts of everyone was indeed a wonderful tribute to Brian and the Downing family is humbled by the generous donation that is going to Action Cancer.
This very generous amount of £1300 will assist Action Cancer in achieving its objectives of counselling and providing support services for families affected by cancer, such as complementary therapy, health promotion and all the other numerous services offered by Action Cancer.
