Places are limited for this event and it is nearing capacity with just a small number of places available in each distance. The 10K run is perfect for those who wish to either complete a 10K for the first time this year, or to clock up a personal best at this distance. It is suitable for over 18 runners, joggers and walkers. For those who are looking for a greater challenge and who may have a couple of 10K’s already under their belt, then the 10 mile run would suit them better. This distance is also an excellent training platform for those looking to achieve a half or full marathon in 2014.
Whether you choose the 10K or 10 Mile, both runs are flat and fast and take in the beautiful Galway Bay for which the city is famous. Timing Chips, Race Medals and Technical Running T-Shirts will be provided for all participants. Overseeing the event will be Joanne Murphy the voice behind Tri Talking Sport, who provides MC and sports commentary services to a variety of events across Ireland and the UK. Joanne is also a keen triathlete and dynamic member of Galway Triathlon Club.
So sign up today at www.GalwaySimon.ie or www.RunIreland.com. All proceeds from the registration fee will go to support men and women in the West of Ireland who are homeless.
