The first Lough Allen Triathlon will take place on Sunday, 30th May 2010 at 11am at the Ramada Hotel, Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim. There will be two optional distances to choose from. Course A will consist of 1000m lake swim or 1500m sit-on-top kayak, 47k bike with a 8.5k run to finish. The Try Triathlon will be a 400m swim or 800m sit-on-top kayak, followed by 20k cycle and a 5k run to finish.

» The swim/kayak will be a lake swim/kayak with a shoreline start. Please indicate your SWIM or KAYAK option, Thank you.
» The bike will be a 1 lap course, circumnavigation of Lough Allen (anti-clockwise), through the lakeside towns of Dowra, Drumkeeran and back to Drumshanbo with scenic lakeside views along the way (if you have time to look up!) The roads will not be closed so please obey the rules of the road and all Gardaí and marshalls instructions.
» The run will be an out and back sprint along minor roads through the town of Drumshanbo, finishing back at the lakeside at the Ramada Hotel.
