DESCRIPTION:Course Description:\nThe tough course of 25+ obstacles covers a 2.5km stretch and\, believe us\, it will test your endurance! \nAid Stations:\nWe will have fully trained medics on the day \nSpectators:\nSpectators are free and will be able to walk along the sidelines of most of the course to cheer on and to take pictures of their kids. \nParking:\nCarpooling is definitely recommended but there will be ample parking on the day. Parking included in registration fee. \nOther:\nWe ask that you do not bring your pets on the day for health and safety reasons.\nBring black bags\, baby wipes/ sponge/ water – there will be washed down facilities available but the items listed are good to have on hand.\nBring warm loose-fitting clothing that you can change into easily afterwards.\nThere will be a valuable drop off for car keys etc but we advise to bring minimal belongings with you. \nTeam:\nTeams are encouraged to enter as we believe its a lot more fun running around and getting muddy with your friends. There is no limit to how many people are on a team all we ask is that you come up with a cool team name and that all the children are in the same age category. SUMMARY:Punchestown 5k/10k Run in aid of the Michael Mullan Cancer Fund
DESCRIPTION:We are organising a 5k/10k Fun Run in Punchestown Racecourse on Sat. July 21st at 11am. All proceeds go to the Michael Mullan Cancer Fund. \nMichael (Mick) is 26 years old from Eadestown Co. Kildare and is battling cancer for the third time. Michael is currently undergoing treatment in Boston as there is no treatment options available for him in Ireland. We have organised this run to raise much needed funds to help cover his medical expenses. It is €15 for the 5k run\, and €20 for the 10k run. DESCRIPTION:Spartan Race\nSpartan volunteers work in a variety of roles from in and around festival at registration\, bag drop to our on course on kids or main course watching obstacles encouraging racers and ensuring everyone is safely going around course. A variety of shifts are available and food and refreshment are provided. \nVolunteering Roles & Description:\n\nCourse Marshal: Located on the course at an obstacle you will be providing plenty of encouragement for all participants as they run\, crawl\, climb and throw their way to victory! Don’t forget the most important rule… Failure = 30 Burpees.\nRegistration: Welcome and register all race participants for the day. Computer training is provided.\nBag Drop: Our manned locker service for racers to safely store their belongings while they race.\nFinish Line: Welcome the victorious racers back with big smiles and high praises for their efforts! Make sure that every racer receives a well-deserved medal\, finisher T-shirt\, water\, and snacks.\nJunior Race: Be involved with the juniors aged 4-13 years old as they compete for glory as well!
