DESCRIPTION:Now in its 35th year\, the Simon Home Run (www.Homerun.ie) is the longest running charity event in the Phoenix Park and Dublin Simon Community’s largest fundraising event of the year. The Simon Home Run & Family Festival consists of a professionally timed 5 mile race and hosts a range of activities for families and kids of all ages. \nThe route is the only race with this route still used in the Phoenix park\, and brings a very challenging final mile through the Khyber pass.  \nA great run for runners of all abilities\, all while helping Dublin Simon Community provide support to those homeless or at risk.  \nPlease register now at www.Homerun.ie and support those who need it most.

DESCRIPTION:Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI)\, with the support of Today FM’s Matt Cooper and Ireland’s most capped female athlete Fionnuala McCormack\, are encouraging people to put their best foot forward and take part in the third annual DSI ‘Purple Run’ proudly supported by MACE and help celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. \nRun With Us\nThe charity is encouraging everyone to ‘Run with us\, not for us’ as the event is a celebration of people with Down syndrome in Ireland. The Purple Run will take place on Saturday\, March 24th at 11am\, in the Phoenix Park\, Dublin. \nThe event is open to all age groups and abilities and participants can choose to run\, walk or push a buggy over the 5km or 1km distance\, allowing all the family to take part. Registration for the event takes place online only at www.downsyndrome.ie and costs €20 which includes a ‘Purple Run 2018’ t-shirt.
