The 4th annual Tony McGowan 10k,5k and 2.5k road races take place on Sunday February 14th 2016 at 1:30pm in Drumshanbo, Leitrim from the Mayflower community centre, the races are on the same validated routes that proved so successful in the previous years. This is a fast route that has attracted large fields and some very fast times. The courses are AAI certified.
All runners will be chip timed by Core Timing.
10K
There will be a perpetual trophy for first home plus trophies to the first 3 overall men and women as well as to the first man/woman in categories 40+ and 50+ and there will also be a trophy for the first Allen Gaels club member over the line.
5K
The 5k race will be 2 laps of a 2.5k loop taking in the canal path. Trophies for the first 3 male and first 3 female.
2.5K
There will also be a 2.5k run which is 1 lap of the same route that is used for the 5k. Trophy for the first male and female.
Walkers also welcome in all races.
Post-race tea/coffee and sandwiches for all participants.
All race entries will be on the day in the Mayflower from 12:00am.
Entry fee (Entry on the day only) 10k and 5k are €10.00 and the 2.5k is €5.00
