Fantastic run by Paul Hession Paul Hession qualifies for the semi finals of the 200m in style by winning his heat in Round 2. Ireland’s fastest man is through to the semi finals with a time of 20.32 in a nailbiting race which was delayed due to a false start that had everyone watching on tender hooks for the Athenry man.
Paul runs in the 200m semifinals which start at approximately 2:25pm Irish time tomorrow.

That was effin brilliant! Such a positive run!!!! As said, ran a great bend came off fast too then with 70 to go or so, I thought he was going to get run out of it, and then BOOM! Surged forward – and then with 30 to go faster again and he kept his foot down – I love it!!!! THANK YOU MR. HESSION!!! That’s all I wanted to see – heart!!! You could see it in how he ran, he was going to qualify – and that was it! Clearly not afraid of anyone – but he’s raced them all I suppose! YES!!!
