The Ulster Branch will be holding their AGM on Saturday 7th February 2009. Please see below for further details:-

TD & RACE REFEREE TRAINING
The sport of Triathlon in Ireland continues to rapidly grow and there is an increasing requirement for additional volunteers to help with the safe organising, sanctioning and running of races throughout the country.
As such, TI in conjunction with the Ulster, Connaught-Munster and Leinster branches, are holding a training day for Technical Delegates and Referees.
As all Clubs are required to supply a TD and Referee for each event they are holding this year, this is a golden opportunity to have your appointed members trained to a high standard by a dedicated training team.

Leinster

Venue: Portlaoise Leisure Centre, Moneyballytyrrell, Portlaois, Co Laois

Connaught/Munster

Venue: University of Limerick

This course will tie in with the 2nd race in the Limerick Duathlon series, which is being held the following day in St Enda’s Sports Complex.

CHAMPIONSHIP & NATIONAL SERIES APPLICATIONS FOR 2009
Applications for the Championships & Nationals Series 2009 have now closed. A panel of people will meet to decide which races will be a part of the Championships & National Series in 2009. As soon as the races can be confirmed, a notice will be posted here.

AGE GROUP SELECTION 2009
All information for Age Group Selection Races for the World and European Triathlon & European Championships races in 2009 are now available online – please click on “Selection” from the menu on the home page of our website for further details.

RACES
The 2009 race calendar is now available on the website To view the calendar, please click on “competition” from the menu on the left hand side. We will be adding further details to the calendar in the new year, such as race organiser contact details, entry opening dates etc.
TriAthy: Entries are now open for TriAthy being held on 30th May. This offers both an Olympic and Sprint distance race over the familiar course in Athy, Co. Kildare. Visit www.triathy.com to register.
Portlaoise Try-athlon: Entries have opened for the Portlaoise Try-athlon. This race will be particularly targetting newcomers to the sport with a beginner-friendly sprint-distance course. Visit www.trilaois.ie to enter online.
North Tipp Sprint Triathlon: Registration for the North Tipp Sprint Triathlon will be opened on Monday, Jan 12th at 12:00am. Places Available – 240. Online registration only. Cost – €35. Website – www.nenaghtriathlon.com.
Eireman Middle & Ironman Distance Triathlon: The website for Eireman, being held on 23rd August ’09 is now live. Please go to www.eireman.org for details of how to enter the race.
