Jack and Jill provide respite care for severely ill children, up to the age of four, and their families, in the Republic of Ireland and has helped many in Kerry directly. Kenmare Community Care provides meals, activities and company for the local elderly people in the centre in Shelburne St, Kenmare five days a week.

The race is being organised in conjunction with Kenmare Triathlon Club.

The Route

The route is almost exactly 10 kilometres. To say it is a hilly course is a little bit of a understatement however. From the centre of town the runners ascend a large climb for the first 3 km this followed by an equally steep downhill for the next 2 km. After this is a gentle stroll downhill to come back into the square in Kenmare for post race refreshments. Click the image to zoom.

The People

It’s all about the people! Last year we had everyone from runners to walkers with prams, sticks and everything in between. We greatly appreciate everyones support and look forward to seeing all the faces again this year. Below are a small selection of photos from last year including the winner in there somewhere.
