DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\nFrequently Asked Questions\nWhat time are the races happening at? \nThe start time is 10am\, we will be updating start times for all distances nearer the time. \nWhere is the race start? \nThe race start is at St Francis Bridge (The ‘New Bridge’). \nWhere are the water stops? \nThe first water stop is at the first 3.25miles/5.5km and the next water stops are approximately every 3 miles. \nCan walkers participate in these events? \nYes\, walkers can participate in this event but there is a seven-hour cut off for the marathon. \nCan I register/sign up on the day? \nThe only way to guarantee your space in the race is to register online\, online registration is extremely likely to sell out this year. If the event sells out there will be no on the day registration and no ‘spaces’ will be held for anyone. \nAre there any pacers at the event? \nYes\, there will be pacers. They will be announced closer to the date on our Facebook Page. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Routes \nThe routes will take in some of the most historic sites in the city before winding out the country roads\, making its way back to Kilkenny to finish on The Parade in the heart of the city. SUMMARY:The Echo Women's Mini Marathon Cork 2022
DESCRIPTION:This year we celebrate the 41st Echo Women’s Mini Marathon. We are happy to announce with organisers Cork Athletics Association that the event will return as a live event this year on Sunday\, September 18 and you will also have the option to do the race virtually. We are hoping that as many people will take part to help support the many Cork charities that depend on the event’s participants who raise much-needed funds every year.\n\n\n\nThe event is €20 to register and that includes your medal\, personalised race number and postage. The event is 6km and starts on Centre Park Road at 1pm and continues down the Marina and around Blackrock Pier\, through Ballintemple and turns right at Maryville and passes Páirc Uí Chaoimh and straight down Monahan Road\, finishing at Kennedy Park.\n\n\nIf you are doing the race virtually you can complete that however you want either by walking\, running or jogging in your back garden!\n\n\n\nThe results portal for the Virtual event will be open from September 16. If you can’t complete your 6K on race day\, September 18\, you can still do it any time from September 16 – September 27. You can upload your results and download a certificate of completion. DESCRIPTION:Mayo AC are delighted to present the inaugural Foxford 4 Miler in memory of our friends Ann Murray & Mickey Ruane\, stalwarts of our club who tragically passed away in the last few years.\nThis course is a flat and fast course\, which bodes well for speedy times on the day. This route for this event has sentimental significance for both Ann & Mickey. They competed in a 4 mile race in 2006.\nOn that day there were just 12 competitors. Mickey’s wife Mary was also a competitor\, while Ann’s husband Paddy drove the lead car – a real family affair. Mayo AC chairman John Byrne ran a lifetime best 4 mile time of 19.53.
