This is an over 16s event. \nWhen: Friday 27th December 2024 @ 11.00. \nHow: Register Here \nPrice: €26 (+reg fee) Includes a technical ‘turkey’ running tee-shirt \nDetails: 2024 will be the 13th Fat Turkey RUN. \nThis event sells out each year so if you want to guarantee your T-shirt\, please sign up online. \nThe Run will start outside St Fintans Church @11.00.  Registration will be in Suttonians RFC from 09.00. \nThe Fat Turkey 10km event is to support Suttonians Rugby Football Club (established in 1924) and the IRFU Charitable Trust (Irish Rugby Football Union Charitable Trust was formed in 1978 to assist severely injured rugby players in their everyday lives\, and help to restore their confidence and independence). \nThe scenic route is a challenging 10km course\, commencing at St Fintans Church\, Sutton\, going all the way up Carrickbrack Road\, right at the Summit Shop\, right again onto Baily Green Road and up to the Summit Car Park (turnaround and aid/water station) and then back down on the same route. \nParticipant Sign In\, race number\, timing chip & T-shirt can be collected  from 09.30 in Suttonians RFC opposite Sutton Dart Station where parking\, changing and shower facilities are available. \nSign In will close at 10.30 followed by a 5-10 mins safety / event briefing.  Participants will then take a short walk/jog to St Fintans Church car park which is the start location. The finish line will be on the grass verge opposite St Fintans Church. The race will begin at 11.00 sharp. \nOn completion of the race participants will jog/walk through Sutton cross to Suttonians R.F.C (approx 500 yards) where changing facilities and tea/coffee\, biscuits and full bar will be available. Prize giving will take place at the club. \nCost €26 + Reg Fee.  The Fat Turkey Event is a fun filled morning that has been an enormous success over the last number of years. The run is mostly off road and will take you through scenic woodland countryside and around the beautiful Roundwood Reservoir. It’s one of those places where the scenery is so nice you might even forget how far you have left to run. At the end of the run you will be provided with a complimentary BBQ. \nThe entry fee is €30. The Seven Sisters Skyline Ireland – 55km with 4\,000m ascent Is Regarded by participants as the toughest mountain running event in Ireland\, and the 30k event (2022 edition) was Ireland’s first ever Mountain running World Cup event. \nThe event is held in Donegal\, the most northerly county on the island of Ireland…. But still only 3 hours from Dublin\, and 2 hours from Belfast. Donegal is a mystical\, magical place\, which boasts wild rugged unspoilt landscapes\, and an incredible coastline with some of the most spectacular views in Europe. Donegal was voted ‘Coolest place on the planet’ by National Geographic in 2017\, and for good reason…. \nJourneying Northwest along sleepy roads that cut and curve through the Gaeltacht\, an area where the Donegal Irish dialect still flourishes\, brings you to the village of Dunlewey\, host of the Seven Sisters Skyline Ireland.
