DESCRIPTION:Join Bodyke GAA Club as we climb Moylussa with all funds raised going towards the new Astro Turf Pitch being developed at the GAA grounds. This will be a great facility for the whole community and we would be very grateful for your support. \nThe Moylussa route is a well worn trail for many in the locality and the views over Lough Derg are spectacular. The walk will be taken at an easy pace and all are welcome – please do note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and should wear high viz. Water and post-walk refreshments will be provided to all! Everyone is asked to wear layers of clothing and suitable boots/shoes. Don’t forget your camera! \nRegistration will take place at the Two Mile Gate Car Park from 9am\, with the walk kicking off at 9.30 sharp. Adults: €10 – U18: €5.

The race takes place in the seaside village of Enniscrone and takes in the beautiful beach and coast line of the surrounding areas. \nThe first run starts at the pier where transition is staged and follows the road down to the strand where competitors follow the markers to the turnaround. After returning on the same route to transition to collect your bike you will be marshaled out to a side road which joins the main Enniscrone to Easkey road.  The bike is a very fast out and back 20km course\, which follows the coast to the small village of Rathlee where you will meet the turn around point. The return route is the same road back and is mostly flat with one or two small hills when leaving Enniscrone. The 2nd run is a short 2.5km and is again flat and fast to burn what energy you have left. The course has some spectacular scenery and is not to be missed. \nPrizes for the top 3 male and female\, with some age categories thrown in for good measures. \n**Please note a Triathlon Ireland Licence is not required for this event. \nWe want to wish all competitors the very best of luck and look forward to seeing you all on the day.

Mayo. \n2019 is the 2nd year when we offer choice of 3 half marathons in addition to 3 full marathons. \nAnd you can take part in 1\, 2 or 3 events – it’s all up to yourself. \nSo Ballina is calling you on the weekend of 23rd & 24th February 2019. Come\, join us and challenge yourself. \n3 marathons/halfs\, 2 days\, 1 location and 3 different courses. \nSchedule: \n23rd February (Saturday) \n– morning event – full marathon start @ 7am\, half marathon start @ 9am. Course is 2 loops around Ballina/Killala area for a full a marathon and out and back run for the half marathon. Cut off time is 1pm. \n– afternoon event – full & half marathon starts @3pm. Course – looped course – loop length is 1522m\, therefore you have to complete 14 laps for half and 28 laps for a full marathon. All runners have to have a head torch after 5:30pm \nCutoff time is 9pm. \n25th February (Sunday) \n3 distances to choose from – half marathon(start @9am)\, full marathon & ultra marathon (start @8am). \nCourse – looped course with a loop of 1.65mile long – so 8 laps for a half\, 16 for a full and 20 for ultra (33miles). Cut of is 3:30pm \nAll events HQ is located right beside a start&finish line @ Ballina Town Soccer Club. \nChanging rooms\, showers\, and food will be available @ the clubhouse. \nSt. John’s ambulance will be present during the event. \nEvents are chip-timed and all finishers will receive finisher medal upon completion of the course. \nT-shirts for the first 200 participants. \n

DESCRIPTION:Ballinrobe Duathlon February 9th \nNow in its 10th year this Duathlon has attracted huge numbers the last few years and is perfect as an early season Goal\, the flat fast course is suitable to all abilities and many people use it as a benchmark to test their form.\nThis event is also a round of the Ireland West Duathlon series \nWith a Start at the top Bridge St\, participants have a lovely fast downhill then turning right for a pan flat 5k route around Clongowla before returning to Transition at Abbey st.\nThe 18k cycle is a triangle shape loop that is flat and if not too windy can be very fast.\nThe final 3.5k run is a little bit technical as the Bowers walk has to be negotiated before finishing at Abbey St.\nPrizes for the top 3 overall and the usual age category prizes\, there are always plenty of spot prizes up for grabs so make sure to attend the prize giving.\nMarrey bikes Ballinrobe are sponsoring the event\, sign on and prize presentation will take place at their premises.
