SUMMARY:Ardagh 10 Mile Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Our annual Ardagh 10 Mile Challenge takes place on a scenic\, point-to-point course during the peak of Winter. The first two miles of the course brings you on the scenic route around the village before you head up over the mountain\, the last half mile has you once again running through the historic and award winning village of Ardagh to finish at the village green. \nThe 10 mile start line is located at one corner of the village green. https://www.google.com/maps/@53.6670639\,-7.6940153\,3a\,75y\,90h\,90t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s-XWhw1Ji-FpVI_ZOt810ew!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 \nRace Route\nTravels up through the village past St Brigid’s church before turning around a traffic bollard at about 1 km and coming back through the village. The route then heads from the village towards the famous Ardagh Mountain (Don’t panic\, it’s only a small mountail) at about 2 mile. The climb lasts for about 1200m and is quite steep in parts so gauge your effort. After a nice down-hill section the course is quite flat with a few long inclines up to the finish. \nThe finish to race is located on the village green:\nhttps://www.google.ie/maps/@53.6673433\,-7.6943814\,3a\,75y\,180h\,73.07t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sVxMeK_mJuQ-RfQ-L5iUMlA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

SUMMARY:ERP Christmas Cracker
DESCRIPTION:Clonliffe Harriers` annual ‘ERP Christmas Cracker 5k’ is now open for entry entry on line. The race will take place on December 30th at 11.00. The race takes place on the roads around the Morton Stadium in Santry\, with both the start and finish on the track in Morton Stadium. \nOnline entry is available on www.runireland.com. While entry is also taken on the day runners and walkers are requested to make it easier all round and avail of on line entry. \nClonliffe Harriers would encourage all our entrants to raise some badly needed funds for ALONE. ALONE provides Supportive Housing\, Befriending\, Community Support and Campaigning services to hundreds of older people every week\, who are homeless\, socially isolated\, living in deprivation or in crisis. Our very own CHAC stalwart\, Jeremy Chapman also serves on the board of ALONE\, so let’s try and raise as much as funds as possible for a good cause. \nThe ERP 5k Christmas Cracker is also offering the chance for all entrants in the race to win some spot prizes. To be in with a chance to win one of these prizes it is simply a matter of bringing along on race day anything that is WEEE and can be recycled ( electrical appliance or used batteries). You will then be entered into a draw which will take place immediately after the race. \nERP’s mission is to develop high-quality\, cost-effective recycling services for the benefit of producer members\, consumers and ultimately the environment and society. It is important that we get as many recyclable items as possible to support our very generous race sponsor. \nThere will be prizes for the Senior Men/Women\, Junior Men/Women and Masters prizes. Superb value for an online entry fee of €20.00 which includes chip timing and booking fee.
